UEFA FOUNDATION

UEFA FOUNDATION

UEFA is funding the "Footsteps of Hope" project to empower participants from orphanages, schools, and communities. This initiative will engage 200 boys and 150 girls, working collaboratively to foster development and inclusion. Trained coaches from Slum Soccer will conduct sessions three times a week, focusing on football and life skills. Additionally, workshops and training sessions will be organised for coaches and fellows to further develop these skills. By providing access to sports infrastructure, equipment, and opportunities for competitive exposure, the initiative not only aims to enhance sporting skills but also to foster values like teamwork and resilience. It seeks to create platforms for participants to showcase their talents, thereby promoting their visibility and recognition within the sports community. The ultimate goal is to empower these children, offering pathways to personal growth and future opportunities through sports, while addressing the socioeconomic challenges they face.

Our agenda is to reach the last child in the country by supporting Entrepreneurs in rural, remote and tribal geographies to cater to children from the most marginalised and vulnerable communities. Towards this, we incubate Educational Entrepreneurs to launch and sustain a high-impact Teaching Fellowship in their region. With slum soccer, we are aspiring to build leadership and make education equitable, inclusive and accessible for children who are differently abled by using sports as a medium. Our idea is to develop people in regions through various support structures like personalised mentorship, learning circles, site visits, webinars, peer learning and access to experts for various functions to create a high impact Teaching Fellowship Model.

Collaborating with the philanthropic “Reliance Foundation” is an honour for Slum Soccer. Based on the mutual interest in increasing education, Reliance Foundation is promoting the Edu-Kick program in Nagpur and Kamptee, which helped 1000 children from 20 different primary schools to increase their mathematic-skills and basic knowledge. With a remarkable growth of the children’s performance after the first 6 month from an average of 3,57/10 marks to an average of over  7/10 marks, which constitutes a growth of almost 100%, displayed Edu-Kick to be a great success.
